Abstract:
In the present invention, a first server (7) attempts to specify, on the basis of one or more selection criteria, a second server (5) disposed in an edge data network (4), in response to receiving, from a request entity (2), a request for connection to an entity that provides a service on the edge network (4). When the second server (5) cannot be specified or the second server (5) cannot be used, the first server (7) specifies a replacement second server differing from the second server (5) or specifies a replacement first server that attempts to specify the second server in place of the first server (7). This invention can contribute, for example, to mitigation of the effect due to failure in discovering a preferred one or more edge servers for an item of user equipment (UE).
