Abstract:
This shock absorption structure for a vehicle is configured in a manner such that a shock absorption member (22) is provided inside a hollow side sill which is formed in the vehicle front-rear direction as a configuration for absorbing energy in the case of a lateral impact to the vehicle. The shock absorption member (22) is positioned so as to be formed in a corrugated-sheet shape in the vehicle front-rear direction. The interval between ridges (24a), (24b) and the interval between ridges (24c), (24d) provided in the vehicle front-rear direction in the corrugated-sheet shape are equipped with a reinforcing shape (first bead (36)) for preventing or minimizing the collapsing deformation in the vehicle front-rear direction of said ridges (24a), (24b), (24c), (24d).
