Abstract:
A base mat is laid at a specified location such as a doorway of a kitchen or the like and a dirt absorbing sheet is placed on the recessed surface of the base mat. The dirt absorbing sheet has a two-layer structure consisting of an upper-layer nonwoven fabric and a lower-layer plastic film smaller in area than the nonwoven fabric, and the sheet is fixed by bringing the portions of the nonwoven fabric, on which the plastic film is not layered, into contact with a Velcro$m(3)* tape provided on the recessed surface of the base mat, thereby providing a shoes wiping mat. The mat does not soil the base mat even when liquid dirt is absorbed and does not allow the absorbing sheet to move or wrinkle on the base mat.
