Abstract:
A simulation device (7), provided with: a simulation unit (3) that builds a virtual PLC system including a virtual PLC simulating the operation of a PLC and a virtual network unit simulating the operation of a network unit, which is a unit for performing communication with another PLC system, the simulation unit (3) performing computation for the simulation operation by the virtual PLC system; and a communication board (31) that connects to a first actual PLC system including a real actual PLC and a real actual network unit, which is a unit for performing communication with another PLC system, and that relays data between the virtual PLC system and the first actual PLC system. The simulation unit (3) performs a simulation operation of the virtual PLC system using data received from the first actual PLC system through the communication board (31), the simulation operation being performed on the basis of a same program as a program used when a second actual PLC system corresponding to the virtual PLC system is operated.
