Abstract:
A sliding input method, comprising: capturing multiple track points, which slide on a virtual keyboard, and constructing, based on a sequential order of capturing of the track points, a directed line segment in a sliding track by using any two continuous track points (110); determining, based on the directed line segment, N final alternative keys corresponding to the directed line segment, where N is a natural number (120); and progressively expanding the final alternative keys based on a pre-set vocabulary, so as to determine candidate words (130). The technical problems of a low speed of response to sliding input and high development costs in the prior art are solved. The beneficial effects of improving the speed of response to sliding input and reducing development costs are obtained.
