A solid electrolyte material that includes Li, Y, Br, and I and, in an x-ray diffraction pattern generated using Cu-Kα radiation, has peaks at diffraction angle 2θ values in all of the following ranges: 12.5°–14.0°, 25.0°–27.8°, 29.2°–32.3°, 41.9°–46.2°, 49.5°–54.7°, and 51.9°–57.5°.
