Abstract:
Provided is a sound generation device capable of sufficiently increasing the sound pressure even if an obstacle exists in front of a top board and capable of weakening the directivity of emitted sound. The sound generation device 1 comprises a case 2 and a diaphragm 6 secured to the inner surface of first to fourth side wall parts 4a - 4d of the case 2 via a support member. An air chamber 7 is configured to be surrounded by a top board 3, the diaphragm 6, and a portion of the first to fourth side wall parts 4a - 4d. A sound-emitting hole 12 is provided to allow the air chamber 7 to communicate with the outside. An outward opening 12a of the sound-emitting hole 12 is provided to span over a plurality of surfaces of the case 2.
