Abstract:
A stacker (1) has a first stacker crane (7A) and a second stacker crane (7B), each stacker crane having one mast (72) that has a pair of surfaces (72a, 72b) orthogonal to a traveling direction (D) and a transfer unit (75) that is provided to be vertically movable along one surface (72b) of the pair of surfaces (72a, 72b) and that transfers an article (A) between a first rack (4A) and a second rack (4B). The two cranes (7A, 7B) are arranged so as to face in the directions opposite to the direction in which the one surfaces (72b), on which the transfer units (75) are provided to be vertically movable, face each other in the traveling direction (D). The first space (S1) is provided with an entry area (A3) where two cranes (7A, 7B) enter toward each other. A controller (10) controls travel of the two cranes (7A, 7B) so that the two cranes (7A, 7B) do not collide.
