Abstract:
An apparatus according to one embodiment of the present disclosure pertains to a station apparatus of a WDM-PON system including a plurality of subscriber apparatuses with which optical communications are enabled by using different downlink wavelengths. The station apparatus of the WDM-PON system is provided with an acquisition unit for acquiring at least one of a frequency source and a time source for each of the downlink wavelengths corresponding to some or all of the plurality of subscriber apparatuses; and a synchronization processing unit for executing a synchronization process, which is at least one of frequency synchronization to be carried out with the subscriber apparatuses using the frequency source, and time synchronization to be carried out with the subscriber apparatuses using the time source, for each of the acquired downlink wavelengths.
