Abstract:
A steering function-equipped hub unit (1) according to the present invention comprises: a hub unit body (2) that has a hub bearing (15); a unit support member (3) that rotatably supports the hub unit body (2) around a steering axial center (A) extending in the vertical direction; and a steering actuator (5) that drives the hub unit body (2) so as to rotate around the steering axial center (A). The steering actuator (5) comprises: a motor (26); a speed reducer (27) that reduces the speed of rotation of the motor (26); and a linear motion mechanism (25) that converts rotational output of the speed reducer (27) to linear motion of an output rod (25a) through a rotation support member (28). The speed reducer (27) is a parallel shaft-type speed reducer using pulleys (27a, 27b) and a belt (27c), and comprises a first seal member (51) which is a seal member for sealing the area between the speed reducer and the rotation support member (28) adjacent thereto.
