Abstract:
A circulation nutricultivating apparatus in which waste products (water soluble organic substances) egested from roots are removed, propagation of pathogen in the nutrient solution is suppressed, the number of replacements of the nutrient solution is decreased and replacement of the nutrient solution is dispensed with in some cases. The nutrient solution is pumped from a nutrient solution tank (3) by means of a supplying pump (2), passed through an activated charcoal filled bath (5), and sterilized with activated charcoal. It is favorable to use silver impregnated activated charcoal. To more effectively remove the waste products in the nutrient solution by adsorption, ultraviolet radiation may be applied to the nutrient solution, when a titanium-dioxide-filled bath is additionally used or titanium-dioxide-impregnated charcoal is used.
