Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a strength member for an in-vehicle battery case and an attachment structure for said strength member, the strength member being for protecting a battery module against an input load from outside and fixing the battery module to the battery case, wherein the strength member has an excellent protective effect as a result of distributing the load to the battery module, and the strength member is effective in reducing the size of the battery case. [Solution] Provided is a strength member for fixing and holding a battery module inside a battery case, in a case where the battery module is mounted in a vehicle by housing the battery module inside the battery case that comprises a frame and a bottom surface panel arranged at a bottom section of the frame. The strength member is characterized in that: a protective part and a pair of terminal parts that are joined respectively to end sections on both sides of the protective part are included; the pair of terminal parts are arranged respectively on the inner side of left and right side walls of the frame; the protective part fixes and holds the battery module and is formed by connecting a plurality of protective members with a connecting part; and the connecting part has a fastening section that allows fastening to the bottom surface panel and a fixing section for fixing and holding the battery module.
