Provided are a submarine device (10) that can be operated stably, a submarine cable system (1), a method for controlling the submarine device (10), and a non-transitory computer-readable medium. The submarine device (10) is disposed on the seabed and is provided with a laser element (111) that generates an optical signal for use in responding to a remote control signal received via a cable (CB) from a land device (90) disposed on land, and a temperature adjustment unit (120) that adjusts the temperature of the laser element (111).
