Abstract:
A surface coating cutting tool having a base material and, provided thereon,
a coating, characterized in that the coating includes at least one hard layer
and at least one oxygen-enriched hard layer, and that the hard layer in the entirety
thereof consists of a crystalline substance or a crystalline substance containing
a noncrystalline substance in its part, and that the oxygen-enriched hard layer
is laminated on the hard layer and is noncrystalline in its interfacial region
with the hard layer.
