Abstract:
Provided is a surgery assisting device. The surgery assisting device of the present disclosure is capable of holding a surgical instrument having an end to be inserted into a body cavity of a patient, and is capable of controlling at least one of the position and the pose of the surgical instrument. The surgery assisting device is provided with: a first arm that has a first end supported by a base and has a first movable part having at least one degree of freedom of motion; and a plurality of second arms that are disposed at a second end of the first arm and are capable of holding the surgical instrument, the plurality of second arms having a plurality of second movable parts having at least a total of 5 degrees of freedom of motion.
