Title:
THE SYNTHESIZED GENE ENCODING FOR TRICHOSANTHIN PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1994/026898
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The gene sequences encoding for trichosanthin protein have been re-designed and whole synthesized according to the distribution coefficient for high expression of codon usage in E. coli. This synthesized gene, which contains 27 unique restriction endonuclease sites, has been high expressed in E. coli in yield of about 20mg/L, and produced the protein having identical immunological and biological activities as the protein isolated from the roots of Trichosanthes Kirilowii.
