Background Art Conventionally, lots of tables for computers have been manufactured and used. In general, a computer's main body, a monitor and a keyboard are all put and used on the top board of the table, and so, the conventional table for the computer has several disadvantages in that it increases a user's fatigue and provides lots of difficulties to him or her during the use of the computer on the table for a long time since the heights of his or her arms and eyes are not stable and he or she feels uneasiness and unnaturalness. Furthermore, the conventional computer table has another disadvantage in that the computer main body may be easily damaged or robbed as being always exposed to the outside.

A lot of computer tables for locating the computer main body therebelow have been disclosed. However, such tables occupies a large space, and has a limitation in cooling heat

generated from the computer main body as cooling the heat only by means of a cooling fan mounted inside the computer main body. Moreover, the conventional computer tables has another problem in that it is complicated to repair and replace components when the components are abnormal.

Disclosure of Invention Accordingly, the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a table for a computer, which includes a connection board having ventilation holes formed therein and fan filters mounted on the connection board, so as to cool heat generated from a computer main body chamber in an air circulation method by introducing the outdoor air into the computer main body chamber, thereby providing excellent cooling efficiency.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a table for a computer, which can increase space usability as it requires a small space for locating a computer main body therein, and which can increase a user's convenience as there is a difference in height between a monitor seating board for locating an LCD monitor thereon and a top board for locating a keyboard thereon.

To accomplish the above objects, according to the present invention, the present invention provides a table for a computer including: a top board for locating a keyboard thereon and a monitor seating board for locating an LCD monitor thereon, the top board and the monitor seating board being fixedly mounted on the top surfaces of a pair of side boards, which are connected with each other by means of a rear board and a connection board and have different height from each other for a user's convenience ; a connection board fixedly mounted on the lower portion of the computer table and having ventilation holes formed therein for supplying

the outside air into the computer main body chamber therethrough, and a shield board openably mounted on a front portion of the computer table to prevent exposure of the computer main body and cables to the outside, wherein a computer main body chamber is formed below the monitor seating board for locating a computer main body therein, in such a manner as to be defined by the side boards, the rear board, the connection board, the top board, the monitor seating board and the shield board; a plurality of cooling fans mounted on the connection board for cooling heat generated from the computer main body chamber and the computer main body; a plurality of fan filters mounted below the connection board for preventing introduction of dust into the computer main body chamber; and an air outlet formed in the computer main body chamber for discharging the air induced into the computer main body chamber therethrough to the outside.

Brief Description of Drawings Further objects and advantages of the invention can be more fully understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a table for a computer according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 2 is an exploded side-sectional view showing a disassembled state of the computer table; and FIG. 3 is a side sectional view showing an assembled state of the computer table.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

The present invention will now be described in detail in connection with preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a table for a computer according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 1, the table for the computer includes side boards 1 and 1', a rear board 2, a top board 4, and a monitor seating board 5.

There is a difference in height between the top board 4 and the monitor seating board 5 to allow a user to conveniently use the computer so that he or she does not feel fatigue to his or her eyes and arms during the use of the computer. Therefore, the present invention can prevent instability of user's eyes and arms and his or her muscle's fatigue, which may occur when the user uses the computer on the table for a long time period, thereby reducing eye fatigue and correcting his or her seating posture naturally.

The side boards 1 and 1'and the rear board 2 may have holes formed thereon for tidily arranging power cables and wirings of various devices therethrough, and the length of the rear board 2 may be changed according to an installation form of the interior components of a computer main body 8 and designs of the interior cables and wirings. Therefore, the present invention can provide a tidy outward appearance by arranging lots of the complicated cable wirings even in a place, where a number of computers are used, such as an office or a PC room.

The computer table has a computer main body chamber 1A formed below the monitor seating board 5. The computer main body chamber 1A is in the form of'n'when viewed from the side, and is designed in such a manner that a CD-ROM and a floppy disk driver are exposed to the outside, but components, which needs not to be exposed to the outside, such as a main board, a CPU, a hard disk drive or others, are mounted on the lower portion thereof

The computer main body chamber 1A has the inner structure where general components mounted in the computer main body are mounted, and is fixedly intalled on the computer table. A frame structure of the computer main body chamber 1A for mounting the computer components therein is designed in such a manner to occupy the minimal space differently from the shape of the conventional computer main body, so that the computer table has the remarkably reduced size in comparison with the conventional table and does not provide inconvenience in use to the user.

As described above, since the computer table having the improved inner frame structure according to the present invention rather makes a space for mounting the computer components therein small while using the components of the existing computer main body as they are, the computer table is reduced in size and can effectively use a space in a place where a number of the computers are used, such as an office or a PC room.

A connection board 3 and a shield board 6 are mounted on the lower portion of the computer table for providing a tidy outward appearance by making the components and the cables mounted in the computer table invisible.

FIG. 2 is an exploded side-sectional view showing a disassembled state of the computer table.

In FIG. 2, the connection board 3 has a number of ventilation holes 12 formed therein for supplying the outside air into the computer main body chamber 1A therethrough.

Furthermore, a number of cooling fans 11 are mounted on the connection board 3 for smoothly discharging the air supplied through the ventilation holes 12 to an air outlet 14 formed in the computer main body chamber 1A. At this time, a number of fan filters 13 are mounted beneath the connection board 3 for preventing introduction of foreign matters, such as dust, into the computer main body chamber 1A.

In the conventional table for the computer, the computer main body is simply located on the lower portion of the computer table or in a space for receiving the computer main body therein, and only a cooling fan mounted in the computer main body is used to cool heat generated from the computer main body. So, the conventional computer table could not effectively cool the heat generated from the computer main body.

As the computer table according to the present invention includes the connection board 3 having a plurality of ventilation holes 12 formed therein and the cooling fans 11 mounted on the connection board 3, to continuously ventilate the inside air of the computer main body chamber 1A, it provides more excellent cooling effect than the conventional table using only the cooling fan mounted in the computer main body.

FIG. 3 is a side sectional view showing an assembled state of the computer table according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention. In FIG. 3, the connection board 3 and the shield board 6 are connected with each other by means of a hinge 7, and a locking device is mounted on the shield board 6, so that the shield board 6 cannot be opened at normal times to prevent burglary of the components mounted in the table, and can be opened when there is a need to replace, repair or inspect the inner components.

Industrial Applicability As described above, the computer table according to the present invention includes the connection board 3 having the ventilation holes 12 formed therein and the fan filters I3 mounted on the connection board 3, so as to introduce the outside air into the computer main body chamber 1A to cool heat generated from the computer main body chamber 1A, thereby providing more excellent cooling effect than the conventional computer table.

As described above, since the computer table according to the present invention improves the inner frame structure of the computer main body chamber 1A so that since a space for mounting the computer components therein is rather reduced while using the components of the existing computer as they are, the computer table is reduced in size. In addition, the computer table can effectively use a space in a place, where a number of the computers are used, such as the office or the PC room.

Furthermore, as there is a difference in height between the monitor seating board 5 for locating the LCD monitor 10 thereon and the top board 4 for locating the keyboard 9 thereon, the present invention can increase the user's convenience in use.

While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
