The present invention is a terminal 30 connected to an electric wire 20 having a core wire 21, wherein the terminal 30 comprises a terminal body 40 and a sliding part 50, the terminal body 40 having a pinching part that pinches the core wire 21 of the electric wire 20, the sliding part 50 being configured so as to be capable of sliding movement in the longitudinal direction between a temporary latching position and a final latching position when externally fitted into the region in which the pinching part is provided, the core wire 21 being inserted from the rear into the sliding part 50, and the sliding part 50 having: a pressing part that pushes the pinching part in the final latching position, whereby the core wire 21 is pinched from a first direction by the pinching part; at least one pair of first contact parts 54A provided to the rear of the pressing part, the pair of first contact parts 54A contacting the core wire 21 from the first direction when the core wire 21 is inserted into the sliding part 50; and at least one pair of second contact parts 54B provided to the rear of the pressing part, the pair of second contact parts 54B contacting the core wire 21 from a second direction intersecting with the first direction when the core wire is inserted into the sliding part 50.
