Abstract:
A terminal, an information providing device, a system, and a recording medium by means of which a purchaser safely pay for the goods bougth from a mail-order using a computer communication network. The terminal is provided with a browser for communication with the World Wide Web and a message viewer for communication with a private network. The browser is provided with a means for placing an order wtih a host computer for goods, a means for receiving a message about the prices of the article from the World Wide Web, and a means which transmits the prices to the message viewer. The message viewer is provided with a means which processes the payment of the amount by using the private network.
