Title:
THERMODYNAMIC PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING WORK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2000066887
Kind Code:
A9
Abstract:
The invention is a method and apparatus for generating work comprising a combustor (1) to form a gas stream; a regenerator (2) for reacting, in the presence of heat from the gas stream, a strong liquor to form a carbon dioxide stream and a weak liquor resulting in an exhaust stream; a turbine (3) for extracting work from the carbon dioxide stream; and an absorber (4) for reacting the work-extracted carbon dioxide stream, the exhaust gas stream and the weak liquor to cause carbon dioxide to be absorbed by the weak liquor converting the weak liquor into the strong liquor.
