Abstract:
The present invention is a tire comprising a diene-containing elastomer and a microencapsulated antidegradant, wherein the microencapsulated antidegradant is formed by the process of emulsion evaporation. In one embodiment of the invention, the antidegradant is N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenylenediamine (6PPD) and the microcapsule is comprised of calcium alginate.
