Abstract:
This tool holder includes a pocket portion provided with an attachment seat in a distal end portion, and is provided with a circular columnar portion on a rear end side of the pocket portion. In the circular columnar portion, if a virtual cylindrical surface including a cylindrical surface constituting a side surface of the circular columnar portion is defined, a first cylindrical surface closest to the pocket portion and a second cylindrical surface farthest from the first cylindrical surface are disposed on the virtual cylindrical surface. A recessed portion that is recessed further toward a radially inner side than the virtual cylindrical surface is disposed between the first cylindrical surface and the second cylindrical surface. The recessed portion has a maximum width tmax of at least 1.0 mm in a direction of a tool rotational central axis, and the first cylindrical surface and the second cylindrical surface are cylindrical ground surfaces formed coaxially with the tool rotational central axis.
