Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to improve the material recyclability of a toothbrush and provide multiple types of toothbrushes by adopting a configuration in which a handle part and a brush part can be connected and separated, and also provides a toothbrush that can suppress decreases in usability that occur when brushing teeth via a configuration in which a handle part and a brush part can be connected and separated. A toothbrush 10 comprises a handle part 100, a brush part 200, and a seal mechanism 300. The handle part 100 comprises: a handle body 110 configured so as to be graspable and in which a hollow internal space 113 is formed; and a handle-side neck section 120 disposed further toward a longitudinal tip-end side than the handle body, and in which is formed a hollow opening part 130 that communicates with the internal space. The brush part 200 comprises: a head section 210 in which bristle bundles 211 have been implanted; and a brush-side neck section 220 extending, from the head section, toward a base end in the longitudinal direction, and in which has been formed a connection part 230 that can connect with and separate from the opening part. The seal mechanism 300 maintains the airtightness of the internal space in a state in which the opening part and the connection part are connected. The brush-side neck section has a closed structure in which a space that causes the outside and the inside of the head section to communicate is not formed.
