Abstract:

A traffic flow control system for providing information to a user of a transportation facility, wherein waiting conditions in which conditions for selecting a waiting place of the user are recorded are held in a memory, and, when information regarding trouble that has occurred in the transportation facility is received, a processor selects a waiting place suitable for the user by referring to the waiting conditions, and encourages the user to wait by transmitting information regarding the selected waiting place to a terminal of the user. When information regarding recovery from the trouble that has occurred in the transportation facility is received, the processor determines a time at which information regarding the recovery from the trouble is to be transmitted according to a time required to go from the waiting place of the user to a station, and notifies the terminal of the user of the information regarding the recovery from the trouble at the determined time.
