Abstract:
A trick plate spacing changer for double raschel machines, which is capable of easily performing the operation of changing or adjusting the trick plate spacing and which dispenses with stroke adjustment of the knitting needles after the changing operation, the changer comprising two rows, front and rear, of knitting needles (1a, 1b), front and rear trick plates (2a, 2b) belonging to the two rows of knitting needles, front and rear intermediate frames (4a, 4b) respectively supporting the rows of knitting needles and the trick plates in a knitting−allowing manner, and a front machine pedestal (5a) and a rear machine pedestal (5b) on which the intermediate frames are erected and fixed, wherein the changer includes a means for linearly moving the front and rear machine pedestals (5a, 5b) toward and away from each other, the means being in the form of a screw shaft (12) having a right−hand screw (12a) disposed in one of the front and rear machine pedestals and a left−hand screw (12b) disposed in the other machine pedestal, the screw shaft (12) being rotated to linearly move the front and rear machine pedestals (5a, 5b) to adjust the spacing between the trick plates.
