Abstract:
An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus (1) is provided with: an imaging unit (5) for acquiring an ultrasonic image by transmission of an ultrasonic beam from an oscillator array (2) toward a subject and reception of an ultrasonic echo from the subject; a standard information acquisition unit (10) for acquiring standard information in which a standard regarding at least one type of a blood vessel insertion object is included; a type specification unit (11) for specifying the type of an insertion object to be inserted in a blood vessel of the subject; a blood vessel extraction unit (8) for extracting the blood vessel by analysis of the ultrasonic image; an insertion possibility determination unit (12) for, on the basis of the acquired standard information and the type of the specified insertion object, determining whether or not it is possible to insert the insertion object in the extracted blood vessel; and a notification unit (13) for notifying of the determination result.
