Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an umbrella dehydrator configured so that the plurality of ribs are restrained from freely spreading radially outward during dehydration and provide an umbrella dehydrator having a chuck mechanism whereby the ferrule can be firmly gripped. [Solution] An umbrella dehydrator (1) comprises: a main-body case (2) which can accommodate a closed umbrella (5) in a standing position; a chuck mechanism (6) which has been provided to the bottom of the main-body case (2) and which grips the shaft-end ferrule (5b) of the umbrella; a rotating part (8) which rotates the chuck mechanism (6); a shaft-holding mechanism (3) which rotatably holds some of either the shaft-base-side handle (5h) of the umbrella or the shaft (5s) thereof; and a restraining member (4) for restraining the ends of the plurality of ribs (5c) so that the plurality of ribs do not move beyond a predetermined radius from the shaft by centrifugal force when the umbrella is being rotated, the restraining member being detachably fitted to the umbrella.
