Abstract:

An article (1A) has an auxiliary elastic member (16) extending around the trunk and contractibly attached between a trunk elastic member (15) in the front and rear trunk regions (4, 6) of a base sheet (2) and leg openings (12), the base sheet (2) being formed of a first sheet (13) and a second sheet (14), the auxiliary elastic member (16) being formed of a first elastic member (20) and a second elastic member (21). In the article (1A), the first and second elastic members (20, 21) have opposite ends (22, 23), central portions (24, 25), and the remainders (26, 27). And the opposite ends (22, 23) of the first and second elastic members (20, 21) are fixed to the first and second sheets (13, 14), while the central portion (24) of the first elastic member (20) is fixed to the second sheet (13). And the remainders (26, 27) of the first and second elastic members (20, 21), and the central portion (25) of the second elastic member (21) are isolated from the first and second sheets (13, 14).
