Abstract:
Provided is an underwater rising/falling device capable of avoiding unnecessary consumption of power, and preventing the letting out of a cable by using a simple mechanism, without the cable being suddenly let out during underwater standby because of the self-buoyant nature of said device. The underwater rising/falling device (1) anchored underwater via a cable (11) connected to the underwater floor and rising/falling as a unit comprising a frame (10) provided with an underwater monitoring apparatus (80) and buoyant bodies (12), wherein a stopper (51) is attached partway along the cable (11) at a location beneath the frame (10), and the frame (10) is provided with a winch unit (100) for winching in and letting out the cable (11) and a latch unit (30) for: stopping the winching in of the cable (11), which is surrounded by a plurality of opening/closing hooks, by causing the stopper to be seized by the hooks which close on the basis of the trigger of pressure from and contact with the stopper caused by the winching; and initiating the letting out of the cable (11) on the basis of the trigger of the release of the stopper from the hooks by the opening thereof.
