Abstract:
The present invention relates to a unit cell of an electromagnetic wave absorber and, more specifically, to a unit cell of a broadband electromagnetic wave absorber that forms a closed loop in a waveform that crosses four sides of a virtual rectangle on the surface of a base substrate along the four sides of the virtual rectangle to absorb and remove electromagnetic waves in a broad frequency band. To this end, the unit cell of the electromagnetic wave absorber, according to the present invention, comprises: a base substrate that includes a planar conductive layer, a plurality of dielectric layers, and a plurality of sheet resistors; and a complex pattern that forms a closed loop in a waveform that crosses four sides of a virtual rectangle on the surface of the base substrate along the four sides of the virtual rectangle, wherein the waveform has a gradually decreasing amplitude from the center of one side of the virtual rectangle toward opposite ends of the side of the virtual rectangle. Accordingly, the unit cell of electromagnetic wave absorber can almost entirely absorb electromagnetic waves in a frequency band of 2GHz to 4GHz.
