Description:
URINAL ENABLING THE DISCHARGE OF THE WASTEWATER WITH AN INCREASED LEVEL INSIDE THE URINAL BOWL DUE TO THE CLOGGING IN THE WASTEWATER CHANNEL

Subject of the Invention

The subject of the invention relates to a urinal enabling the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel and which thus has an increased level inside the urinal bowl, to be discharged from said urinal bowl by delivering said wastewater directly into the wastewater drain, even when said clogging is not eliminated.

State of the Art

Today, the urinals are often preferred in the personal and public toilet rooms. Like the other ceramic sanitary ware, the urinals are also cleaned following their use by means of the flushing systems. Upon the activation of the flushing systems, the clean water is delivered from the clean water plumbing or from a flush tank into the urinal, is diffused into the urinal bowl, flows down the bowl surfaces and leaves the urinal via the wastewater channel, and as a result, the flushing of the urinal bowl is achieved.

Some users throw into the urinals the products used for personal cleaning, such as toilet paper and tissue, the domestic wastes or the cigarette litters. These solid wastes accumulate in the course of time in the wastewater channel of the urinal and cause the clogging of the line. On the other hand, the scaling possible to develop depending on the properties of the flushing water may also lead to the clogging of the wastewater channel. In this case, the urine and/or feces become unable to be discharged from the urinal and all the wastes within the urinal mix in the flushing water that enters said urinal upon the activation of the flushing system and thus remain within said urinal. Following several uses, the wastewater accumulating in the urinal overflows the urinal and spreads into the ambience where said urinal is present, in which case said spreading wastewater may be carried over by the shoes to the houses and other spaces where the hygiene is of top priority and a great number of harmful microorganisms present in the wastewater may penetrate the body through contact or respiration and may thus lead to infectious diseases.

The state of the art lacks the systems that prevent the accumulation of the waste inside the bowl in case of clogging in the wastewater channel of the urinal and the wastes accumulating in the urinals due to the clogging and causing further clogging are removed from the urinal by the users and/or the cleaning staff by way of manual suction of the same through the use of the devices with vacuum action. The attempts to manually remove the wastes that accumulate in the bowl lead to the losses of time and labor. The wastewater may splash and spread to the ambience also during the manual intervention. Moreover, the wastewater, the level of which increases inside the bowl until said intervention is realized, may reach the clean water hole on the bowl and may mix from there in the clean water plumbing. When the wastewater mixes in the clean water plumbing and thus contaminates the skin and/or the clothing of persons, it continues to pose a health threat. Accordingly, the urinals are needed, in which the wastes and the water are directly delivered into the wastewater drain in case of clogging in the wastewater channel, without any manual intervention being necessary, and thus their accumulation inside the bowl is prevented.

In order to avoid encountering the above-mentioned problems associated with the use of a urinal, a urinal has been developed within the scope of the invention, wherein the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel and which thus accumulates inside the urinal bowl, is discharged, via a discharge channel different from the wastewater channel, without reaching the clean water inlet hole on the bowl, without mixing in the clean water plumbing from there, and without overflowing the urinal, and it thus becomes possible to prevent the accumulation of wastewater inside the bowl, the occurrence of overflows, the development of unpleasant appearance and malodor, and the occurrence of splashes and contact, and to preclude the infectious diseases. Object of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a urinal enabling the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel and which thus has an increased level inside the urinal bowl, to be discharged from said urinal bowl by delivering said wastewater directly into the wastewater drain, even when said clogging is not eliminated.

Another object of the invention is to develop a urinal enabling the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel and which thus has an increased level inside the urinal bowl, to be discharged into the wastewater drain, without reaching the clean water inlet hole on the bowl, without mixing in the clean water plumbing from there, and without overflowing the urinal.

Another object of the invention is to develop a urinal eliminating the necessity to discharge the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel and which thus has an increased level inside the urinal bowl, via the means requiring manual use, wherein said urinal is thus free of splashes, contacts with wastewater and losses of labor.

Description of the Invention

The subject of the invention relates to a urinal enabling the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel and which thus has an increased level inside the urinal bowl, to be discharged from said urinal bowl by delivering said wastewater directly into the wastewater drain, even when said clogging is not eliminated.

The urinal according to the invention basically comprises at least one discharge channel (2) enabling the wastewater, the level of which increases inside the urinal bowl (1) due to being unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel (3), to be conveyed from the urinal bowl (1) into the wastewater drain by disabling the clogged zone (6) of the wastewater channel (3); at least one discharge hole (14) enabling the passage of the wastewater in the urinal bowl (1) from the urinal bowl (1) into the discharge channel (2); at least one drain hole (4) enabling the passage of the wastewater in the discharge channel (2) into the wastewater drain; and at least one step (11) enabling at least one partition (12) to be formed for positioning at least one discharge hole (14) and enabling the discharge hole (14) to be covered. Owing to the stepped/layered structure of the urinal bowl (1), a set (111) forms in front of the discharge hole (14) and the urine is prevented from directly entering the discharge hole (14) during the use of the urinal. At least one discharge hole (14) that the urinal contains is positioned on the urinal bowl surface (16) in the partition (12).

When the level of the wastewater accumulating inside the urinal bowl (1) reaches the level of the discharge hole (14), the wastewater enters the discharge channel (2) by passing through the discharge hole (14), advances through the discharge channel (2) and reaches the drain hole (4), and mixes in the wastewater drain by passing through the drain hole (4).

In a preferred embodiment of the urinal according to the invention, the drain hole (4) is located on the surface of a part of the wastewater channel (3) of the urinal that remains between the clogged zone (6) and the wastewater drain.

In a preferred embodiment, the urinal according to the invention comprises at least one connection apparatus (5), which, by being fitted on the wastewater channel (3), provides the connection between the wastewater channel (3) and the wastewater drain. In said embodiment, at least one drain hole (4) is located on the connection apparatus (5). In said embodiment, the connection apparatus (5) is preferably a connector.

In a preferred embodiment, the urinal according to the invention comprises at least one discharge basin (13) located in the continuation of the partition (12) and featuring the character of being a second partition between the partition (12) and the mounting surface (M), wherein the wastewater filling in the partition (12) accumulates inside said discharge basin (13) by passing through the discharge hole (14) positioned on the urinal bowl surface (16) and wherein said discharge basin (13) enables the delivery of the wastewater into the discharge channel (2) in a controlled manner. The discharge basin (13) is a transition section between the partition (12) and the discharge channel (2) and has, as in the case with the partition (12), a form integral with the urinal. In said embodiment, the urinal comprises at least one other discharge hole (14) located on the discharge basin (13), in addition to the discharge hole (14) positioned on the urinal bowl surface (16). Said other discharge hole (14) enables the wastewater accumulating inside the discharge basin (13) to be delivered into the discharge channel (2). One end of the discharge channel (2) is connected with the discharge hole (14) on the discharge basin (13) and the other end thereof is connected with the drain hole (4).

In a preferred embodiment of the urinal according to the invention, the discharge channel (2) has a form integral with the urinal, and hence, it is manufactured from the same material, preferably ceramic, as the urinal.

In a preferred embodiment of the urinal according to the invention, the discharge channel (2) is a component separate from the urinal and is preferably a hose manufactured from plastic material.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the drain hole (4) is positioned at a level below the level of water that is always present inside the urinal. In this way, the development of malodor is hindered.

An example of the urinals used in the state of the art is illustrated in Figure la and Figure lb. It can be seen in the figures that the wastewater accumulates in the urinal bowl (1) in case the wastewater channel (3) of the urinal becomes clogged and thus the wastewater is not able to be discharged via the wastewater channel (3). The urinal does not include any channel, system, etc., as an alternative to the wastewater channel (3) for enabling the discharge of the wastewater.

An embodiment of the urinal according to the invention, developed in order to prevent the increase in the water level inside the urinal bowl (1) and the overflow of the water from the urinal, can be seen in Figure 2a, Figure 2b, Figure 2c, and Figure 3. In this embodiment, the urinal comprises at least one discharge basin (13) in the continuation of the partition (12), between the partition (12) and the mounting surface (M), and at least one other discharge hole (14) positioned on the discharge basin (13). The water, entering the discharge basin (13) from the urinal bowl (1) via one discharge hole (14), enters the discharge channel (2) via the other discharge hole (14) located on the discharge basin (13). In this embodiment, the discharge channel (2) preferably has a form integral with the urinal bowl (1) and the wastewater channel (3), i.e., with the urinal. In this case, the drain hole (4) is located at the position on the wastewater channel (3) at which the discharge channel (2) joins the wastewater channel (3). The water advancing within the discharge channel (2) is transferred via the drain hole (4) to the non-clogged zone of the wastewater channel (3) that remains between the clogged zone (6) and the wastewater drain, and from there, it mixes in the wastewater drain.

Another (second) embodiment of the urinal according to the invention, developed in order to prevent the increase in the water level inside the urinal bowl (1) and the overflow of the water from the urinal, can be seen in Figure 4a, Figure 4b, Figure 4c, and Figure 5. Also in this embodiment, the urinal comprises the discharge basin (13) in the continuation of the partition (12) and at least one other discharge hole (14) positioned on the discharge basin (13). The water, entering the discharge basin (13) from the urinal bowl (1) via one discharge hole (14), enters the discharge channel (2) via the other discharge hole (14) located on the discharge basin (13). In this embodiment, the urinal comprises a connection apparatus (5) between the wastewater channel (3) and the wastewater drain and the drain hole (4) is located on this connection apparatus (5). Therefore, one end of the discharge channel (2) is connected with the connection apparatus (5). In this embodiment, the discharge channel (2) is preferably a hose, one end of which is positioned in the discharge hole (14) on the discharge basin (13) and the other end of which is positioned in the drain hole (4).

Another (third) embodiment of the urinal according to the invention, developed in order to prevent the increase in the water level inside the urinal bowl (1) and the overflow of the water from the urinal, can be seen in Figure 6a, Figure 6b, Figure 6c, and Figure 7. In this embodiment, the urinal does not comprise a discharge basin (13). The wastewater directly enters the discharge channel (2) by passing through the discharge hole (14) on the urinal bowl surface (16). In this embodiment, the urinal comprises a connection apparatus (5) between the wastewater channel (3) and the wastewater drain and the drain hole (4) is located on this connection apparatus (5). Therefore, one end of the discharge channel (2) is connected with the connection apparatus (5). In this embodiment, the discharge channel (2) is preferably a hose, one end of which is positioned in the discharge hole (14) on the urinal bowl surface (16) and the other end of which is positioned in the drain hole (4).

To sum up, a urinal has been developed within the scope of the invention, wherein the wastewater, which is unable to be discharged via the wastewater channel (3) due to the clogging occurring in said wastewater channel (3) and which thus accumulates inside the urinal bowl (1), is discharged from the urinal by way of being delivered to the wastewater drain via a discharge channel (2) different from the wastewater channel (3), without reaching the end of the clean water plumbing that opens into the urinal, i.e. the clean water inlet hole (15) of the urinal, and without overflowing the urinal, and it thus becomes possible to prevent the accumulation of wastewater inside the bowl, the occurrence of overflows, the development of unpleasant appearance and malodor, and the occurrence of splashes and contact, and to preclude the infectious diseases.
