Abstract:
Provided are a vacuum pump which allows for improved efficiency in on-site maintenance work and which can be configured as a smaller vacuum pump than those of the prior art and be easily manufactured, and a connector and a control device applied to the vacuum pump. Because a hermetic connector (220) having a horizontally long structure is adopted, cables can be horizontally dispersed such that the height of the pump body (100) can be reduced. In addition, pins and terminals (241) are connected together by means of a multilayer wiring pattern using a board (230), so unlike conventional methods where a harness would have been used for the connection, there is no radial increase in volume from the cables. Thus, the pump can be configured smaller in the radial direction, too. Furthermore, the hermetic connector (220) and the board (230) are configured so that big pins for which the allowable current is large are disposed on the inner side, and pins for which the allowable current is small are disposed around the big pins. Because the rigid and less bendable cables are gathered at the center, the cables can be easily twisted when bundled together.
