Abstract:

This variable speed pumping system is provided with an electric generator motor which is provided with a frequency converter and a primary side of which is synchronously connected a commercial power system despite the fact that a rotor thereof rotates a variable speed, and a pump water turbine which is directly coupled to the rotor of the electric generator motor, and which drives the rotor in an electricity generating mode and is driven by the rotor in a pumping mode, wherein, in the pumping mode, a value obtained by subtracting an actual electric power input from a value obtained by adding an electric power input command to an electric power control correction signal calculated by means of an electric power control correction signal generator (161) on the basis of a deviation between the rotational speed of the rotor and a rotational speed command calculated on the basis of the electric power input command is input into an electric power controller, and electric power control is performed by applying an electric power command to the electric generator motor, wherein, in the pumping mode, the electric power control correction signal generator (161) adds to the signal based on the deviation a value obtained by multiplying by a constant gain a signal based on the difference between the electric power input command and the actual electric power input measured by an electric power detector, inputs the resulting value to an integrating control element (32), and generates the electric power control correction signal on the basis of an output signal from the integrating control element.
