Abstract:
The present application relates to a variable transmittance film and a use thereof, and liquid crystal alignment films comprising splay-aligned liquid crystal molecules are applied to the variable transmittance film of the present application, thereby enabling the pretilt of a liquid crystal interface to be adjusted, and liquid crystal layers or the liquid crystal interface to be vertically and horizontally aligned according to the average tilt angle of the liquid crystal alignment films, thereby ensuring uniformity of operation and quick response speed. In addition, the liquid crystal alignment films are applied to the variable transmittance film of the present application, such that the alignment of liquid crystal molecules are adjusted without using a pretilt control method using an existing rubbing method, thereby enabling the variable transmittance film to be implemented in various modes by a simple coating-drying-hardening method excluding a rubbing step.
