Abstract:
Disclosed are a vehicle-mounted device upgrading method, and a related apparatus, which are applied to the field of vehicle information security. The method comprises: a telematics box of a vehicle processing a first data segment by means of a first algorithm to obtain a first verification value, wherein the first data segment is any data segment of a plurality of data segments included in an upgrade file which is used for upgrading a control unit of the vehicle, and the first verification value is used for being sent to the control unit; and a vehicle-mounted device encrypting the first data segment by means of a first key to obtain a first encrypted segment, and sending the first encrypted segment to the control unit, such that the control unit stores, in the control unit, the first data segment, which is obtained by decrypting the first encrypted segment by means of the first key, wherein the first data segment is used by the control unit to form the upgrade file for upgrading. The method can effectively improve the safety of an upgrade file during an in-vehicle transmission process.
