Abstract:
This vehicle-mounted display device (40) is equipped with: a virtual image generation unit (41) that generates a first image (10) including a virtual image of a mirror image reflected in a first rearview mirror if the first rearview mirror is provided on the right side of a vehicle (20), and a second image (11) including a virtual image of a mirror image reflected in a second rearview mirror if the second rearview mirror is provided on the left side of the vehicle (20); and a display unit (5) that is disposed in the passenger compartment at a position visible to the driver of the vehicle (20) and displays the first image (10) and the second image (11) horizontally side-by-side. The virtual image generation unit (41) adds borders (12, 14) showing the frames of the rearview mirrors around the first image (10) and the second image (11).
