Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vehicle rearview mirror system having a configuration in which a display device is switched on or off in conjunction with a change in the orientation of a vehicle mirror main body when the mirror main body is configured so as to tilt between an orientation for the vehicle mirror main body when the driver looks in the rearward direction of the vehicle in the reflection in a semi-transparent mirror, and an orientation for the vehicle mirror main body when the driver looks at an image displayed on a display screen of a display device. [Solution] This vehicle rearview mirror system has: a display device (9) that constructs an image from an image signal output from an image reception unit (2a) of a vehicle-mounted camera (2) and displays the image on a display screen (9a); a vehicle mirror main body (3) inside which the display device (9) is incorporated; an operation lever member (10); and a power supply switch (SW). The orientation of the vehicle mirror main body (3) can be altered between an orientation in which the driver (4) looks in the rearward direction of the vehicle in the reflection in a semi-transparent mirror (8), and an orientation in which the driver (4) looks at the image displayed on the display screen (9a) of the display device (9). The operation lever member (10) is used to alter the orientation of the vehicle mirror main body (3), and a power supply switch (SW) switches the display device (9) on or off in conjunction with the operation of the operation lever member (10).
