Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle seat (10), comprising a backrest (18), a headrest (12) and a distal side air bag assembly (14). The headrest (12) is connected to the backrest (18) via guide rods (20). The distant side air bag assembly (14) comprises an inflating device (30) fixed in the headrest (12) and a distal side air bag (28). The distal side air bag (28) is connected to the inflating device (30) and is expanded and deployed forwards and downwards relative to the headrest (12) from an inner side of the headrest (12) in the widthwise direction of the vehicle by means of gas supplied by the inflating device (30). The vehicle seat (10) can restrict the motion of a passenger towards the inner side of the vehicle in the widthwise direction when the vehicle encounters impacts from the side, so as to provide effective support and protection for the passenger.
