Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle wheel bearing device with which it is possible to further reduce torque in the vehicle wheel bearing device while inhibiting the occurrence of raceway surface flaking. Provided is a vehicle wheel bearing device 1 comprising: an outer ring 2 that has outside raceway surfaces 2c, 2d on the inner circumference thereof; an inner member that has inside raceway surfaces 3c, 4a; ball rows 5, 6 accommodated between the raceway surfaces of the outer ring 2 and the inner member; an inner side sealing member 10 and an outer side sealing member 20 that respectively seal open edges of an annular space 15 formed by the outer ring 2 and the inner member; a first grease G1 that is applied in the annular space 15; and a second grease G2 that is applied inside of the inner side sealing member 10 and in a space surrounded by the outer side sealing member 20 and a hub ring 3, wherein the kinematic viscosity of a second base oil contained in the second grease G2 is less than the kinematic viscosity of a first base oil contained in the first grease G1, and the kinematic viscosity of the first base oil is 20-65 mm2/s (40°C) and the kinematic viscosity of the second base oil is 10-35 mm2/s (40°C).
