Abstract:
A video preview method and apparatus and an electronic device, which relate to the technical field of communications, so as to solve the problem in which a video that is being played back is interrupted when previewing a video. The video preview method comprises: when a first area displays a playback image of a video file according to target playback progress, receiving a first touch input on a progress bar; and displaying, in a second area, a target picture in the video file according to a target position of the first touch input on the progress bar, the target picture being an image picture corresponding to a playback moment indicated by the target position, and during the process of receiving the first touch input to displaying the target picture in the second area, the first area updating the playback image of the video file by using a moment corresponding to the target playback progress.
