Abstract:
Provided are a video processing method and apparatus. The method comprises: selecting a first group from among a plurality of pre-built mode groups according to gradient information of the current coding block (S110); selecting a first intra-frame prediction mode from the first group (S120); acquiring one or more intra-frame prediction modes adjacent to the first intra-frame prediction mode (S130); and on the basis of the first intra-frame prediction mode and one or more adjacent intra-frame prediction modes, determining to take a second intra-frame prediction mode as the intra-frame prediction mode of the current coding block (S140). It can be seen that the present application uses a staged rapid selection method, involving: first selecting a first group on the basis of gradient information of the current coding block, and selecting a better first intra-frame prediction mode from same, and then, on the basis of the first intra-frame prediction mode and adjacent intra-frame prediction modes, performing refining and selecting a second intra-frame prediction mode, such that the number of modes searched during intra-frame prediction mode selection can be reduced, thereby also reducing the calculation resources and time overheads required for prediction value calculation.
