Abstract:

This disclosure provides a heads-up-display system, a vehicle, and a virtual-image display apparatus that appropriately divides up space-division parallax images between a user's left and right eyes. The disclosed virtual-image display apparatus comprises the following: a display device that performs space division on left-eye images and right-eye images at a first pitch and outputs said images; first optical members, arrayed in a periodic manner at a second pitch, whereby light based on the output of the optical device is divided up between a left-eye direction and a right-eye direction; and a second optical member whereby the light divided up between said left-eye direction and right-eye direction by the first optical members is reflected or diffracted with positive power. The first pitch is narrower than the second pitch.
