Abstract:
This invention proposes a management device and a management method which can stabilize an entire system. A management device and method for dividing and managing a plurality of physical servers in a plurality of logic groups; and controlling corresponding physical servers so that a virtual machine operating or scheduled to be operated on any of the physical servers is moved to another physical server in the same logic group so as to equalize the load balance of the physical servers in the logic groups, wherein a transfer pattern of a virtual machine that occurs when resources in a logic group are insufficient is set as an error rule. When transfer of a virtual machine matching the error rule occurs, a single physical server is selected from the physical servers belonging to logic groups other than the logic group where the transfer of the virtual machine occurred, and the configuration of the corresponding logic groups is changed so that the selected physical server is lent out to the logic group where the transfer of the virtual machine matching the error rule occurred.
