Abstract:
A visual sensitivity probability distribution at each stimulus presentation position for a subject is estimated on the basis of test result information, which is information relating to the visual sensitivity at each stimulus presentation position, obtained in a previous test. Information relating to the visual sensitivity of the subject in at least one stimulus presentation position from among a plurality of presentation positions is accepted as an input, and using the probability distribution estimated previously, a calculation is performed to obtain a mutual information quantity between the information relating to the visual sensitivity of the user for a test stimulus, as represented by the accepted information, and information relating to the visual sensitivity for each test stimulus for which information relating to the visual sensitivity of the user has not yet been input, and the mutual information quantity is subjected to a prescribed process to select the position in which the next test stimulus is to be presented.
