Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To securely specify the developed position of an inflator bag in inflating and developing the inflator bag. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This waist part restraint device (A) stops the forward movement of an occupant by restraining the waist part of the occupant seated on a seat cushion in collision. The device comprises a bracket (1) installed in the seat cushion, the inflator bag (5) fitted to the bracket (1) and storably disposed in the seat cushion, an inflator (6) jetting a high-pressure gas for inflating and developing the inflator bag (5) in collision, and a position restraining body (10) specifying the developed position of the inflator bag in inflating and developing the inflator bag (5). Thus, the waist part of the seated occupant can be effectively restrained by forming a position restraining body by inflating and developing the inflator bag in collision so as to specify the developed position of the inflator bag.
