Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a wavelength conversion member which comprises a wavelength conversion layer containing quantum dots that are excited by excitation light and produce fluorescence, and wherein: the wavelength conversion layer is a cured layer that is obtained by curing a polymerizable composition containing quantum dots and a polymerizable compound; the polymerizable composition contains at least one first polymerizable compound; the first polymerizable compound is a monofunctional (meth)acrylate compound having an Mw/F value of 130 or more, said Mw/F value being obtained by dividing the molecular weight Mw by the number F of polymerizable functional groups contained in each molecule, and a Log P value of 3.0 or less, while containing one (meth)acryloyl group in each molecule; and the polymerizable composition contains 50 parts by mass or more of the first polymerizable compound per 100 parts by mass of all the polymerizable compounds contained in this composition. Another embodiment of the present invention relates to a backlight unit, a liquid crystal display device, a quantum dot-containing polymerizable composition or a method for producing a wavelength conversion member.
