Title:
WHEEL BEARING DEVICE WITH BUILT-IN IN-WHEEL MOTOR SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/065261
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a wheel bearing device with a built-in in-wheel motor sensor capable of sensing force acting on the point of contact between the driving wheel and the road surface, and effective in controlling the electric motor and the vehicle, all with a high degree of precision. The wheel bearing device with built-in in-wheel motor sensor comprises a wheel bearing (A) that supports the hub of a driving wheel (70) to rotate freely, an electric motor (B), and a decelerator (C) that is interposed between the electric motor (B) and the wheel bearing (A), wherein a sensor unit (120) is disposed upon the external wheel (1) of the wheel bearing (A). The sensor unit (120) further comprises a distortion generating member (121) and one or more measurement sensors that are attached to the distortion generating member (121). The distortion generating member (121) further comprises a lamella material further comprising two or more contact fixed portions (121a) that are contact fixed upon the outer diameter surface of the external wheel (1).
