Abstract:
A windowpane which can be treated for electromagnetic shielding by selecting radio waves of a required frequency band only and, even when the glass plate is installed, the pane can be easily treated for electromagnetic shielding without performing conductive treatment with a conductor, etc., to a peripheral metallic sash, etc. Linear antenna elements (5) having such lengths that can resonant with radio waves to be shielded are regularly arranged on the surface of the pane or between panes as electromagnetic shielding elements by taking the electromagnetic field reflecting equivalent areas (scattering opening areas) or electromagnetic field reflecting equivalent volumes (scattering opening volumes) of the element into consideration and electromagnetic waves are attenuated by scattering the waves with the elements (5).
