Abstract:
A wire electric discharge machine comprising a wire electrode (1) for generating electric discharge between it and an article (3) being machined, wire conveying means (122) for passing a liquid (60a) to an area where first and second rollers (34, 36) for holding therebetween and feeding the wire electrode (1) face each other, to insert the wire electrode (1) between the first roller (34) and the second roller (36), and drive means (150) for moving a tip end of the wire conveying means (122) to near the facing area and keeping the tip end of the wire conveying means (122) a predetermined distance away from the facing area after the wire electrode (1) has been passed between the first roller (34) and the second roller (36).
