Abstract:
This wound battery is provided with: a battery case; an electric power generating element; a cap that closes the opening of the battery case; and a gasket that insulates the battery case and the cap from each other. The electric power generating element is provided with: a first electrode; a second electrode; a separator that is interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; and an electrolyte. The first electrode and the second electrode are wound with the separator being interposed therebetween, thereby forming an electrode group; the first electrode and the cap are connected with each other by a first collector lead; the second electrode and the battery case are connected with each other by a second collector lead; and a groove is formed near the edge of the opening of the battery case. The gasket has: a ring-like sealing part that intervenes between the peripheral portion of the cap and a portion from the groove and the edge; and a tube part that is integrated with the sealing part, while being positioned closer to the electrode group than the sealing part. The first collector lead is connected to the cap through the hollow of the tube part.
